The 2016 SIHH Geneva International High-end Watch Salon is coming to an end. During this year’s Geneva watch and clock exhibition, Panerai has once again become the focus of attention. Looking at this year’s new products, most of them focus on revisiting history and reviewing the past. It is not difficult to find that Panerai still focuses on the Radiomir 1940 series. In recent years, nearly 10 new watches have been launched. At the same time, Panerai also pursued innovation and exploration, and launched a skeleton tourbillon with innovative and complicated materials.

This unprecedented Lo Scienziato watch is intended to pay tribute to the genius Galileo, using a case made of innovative ‘direct metal laser sintering’ technology, and a skeleton tourbillon movement, limited to 150 pieces.
The watch is equipped with a 47mm diameter Luminor 1950 case, made of titanium, and the innovative hollow design blends with the style of Panerai. A small seconds dial is set at 9 o’clock on the hollowed-out dial surface to show its small internal tourbillon device. At 3 o’clock, another small dial shows the day and night indicated by the central second time zone (GMT) hand. The P.2005 manual winding mechanical movement with Panerai’s patented tourbillon inside is equipped with a hollow design, which can provide up to 6 days of power reserve.

This worldwide limited edition of 500 sets of Luminor 8-day power reserve watches is inspired by two Panerai watches specially made for American film star Stallone in 1996, namely the Luminor Black Seal watch and the Luminor Daylight watch. Today, this re-interpreted pair of watches has once again brought back fond memories of watch fans.
These two watches are packaged in a sophisticated pear-wood watch case dedicated to antique Luminor watches, with a human torpedo model (also known as a slow torpedo) mounted on a teak base, and a precious book is included for the Italian Navy special forces Data on military equipment used, including watches and instruments made by Panerai.

The Luminor Daylight 8 Days watch is a replica of the same watch in 1996. The original watch is only a few, very rare. The most special feature of this historic model is its white dial-although the white dial of the Daylight model was also used at the time, the hour markers and hands were particularly striking blue; the new replica faithfully reproduces these unique details .
The prototype of this watch is now absolutely stunning. This new product has been completely redesigned. The hands, including the small seconds at 9 o’clock and the large hour markers are all blue. The case diameter is 44 mm. Traditionally set on the right, like the case, it is cast in AISI 316L polished steel. The strap is made of blue crocodile leather, which echoes the color of the dial, and is matched with the stainless steel pin buckle sewn on the same as the original antique watch.

PAM00655 watch is exquisite, elegant, lightweight, simple lines, clear dial easy to read and easy to set, it is a sports watch suitable for any occasion. The watch inherits the unique characteristics of the Panerai watch from the 1940s, with oversized black digital hour markers and a small dial set at nine o’clock. The pillow-shaped case is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of only 10.93 mm. The new Radiomir 1940 3 Days watch faithfully reflects the original Egiziano Piccolo watch and has been modified to meet the standards of modern high-end sports watches. The watch is equipped with a classic Radiomir 1940 case with a diameter of 47 mm and is cast in AISI 316L polished steel. The lugs and case are integrally formed, and the cylindrical winding crown and watch outline are noble and elegant, which complements the sharp lines of the frame.

Radiomir 1940, as a key series promoted by Panerai this time, has continued to improve the classic design, but also made a lot of improvements. The new product brings a variety of creative dial choices, and is also equipped with multiple functions to meet the needs of different wearers. The main differences between the following four watches, PAM00627 / PAM00628 / PAM00657 / PAM00658, are the dial design and power reserve display. PAM00627 and PAM00657 are equipped with the P.4001 movement, while PAM00628 and PAM00658 are equipped with the P.4002 machine. The core, P.4001 and P.4002 are all developed based on the P.4000 self-winding mechanical movement. The main technical characteristics are the same: the eccentric oscillating weight can swing in both directions and cooperate with two connected mainsprings. Box to ensure power reserve for up to three days. The only difference between P.4001 and P.4002 is the way the power reserve is displayed.
