Malte Presents Two New Works In Dark Rock Grey Dial

This year, the Malte welcomes two new works: the 18K white gold or 18K 5N pink gold case engraved with the prestigious Geneva mark and the dark rock gray dial. These two timepieces not only further enrich the Malte series, but also are equipped with Vacheron Constantin’s new representative 4400 manual winding movement with a power reserve of about 65 hours.
The Vacheron Constantin Malte Malta series with its unique barrel-shaped appearance has two new low-key masterpieces with hours, minutes and small seconds, showing the most dynamic personality with the purest functions. Fading away the appearance, eliminating prejudice, interpreting the purest watch with the most rustic appearance, and seeking balance and harmony with the lowest key. These two watches demonstrate the original mission of the timepiece, that is, the time reading function, but the complexity of production is no less than those with various complicated functions.
Both new works are engraved with the Geneva Seal. The case size is 36.7 x 47.6 mm. Both 18K white gold and 18K 5N pink gold cases are equipped with elegant dark rock gray dials. Compared with the silver dials currently used in the Malte series, the new dark The rock grey dial is more refined and more original. The hour markers and Roman numerals are located at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, respectively. The iconic feature of this series-the barrel-shaped case adopts a gold appearance that closely follows the curve of the case. Hours, minutes and small seconds are driven by the 4400 AS movement. The transparent barrel-shaped caseback that perfectly matches the case appearance allows you to clearly appreciate the movement details, with the Mississippi alligator strap and gold semi-Malta Cross buckle.
Malte: more than 100 years of Vacheron Constantin barrel watch
In 1912, in that aggressive era, Vacheron Constantin completely broke the circular design style of pocket watches and became one of the first watch manufacturers to adopt barrel-shaped case designs. Since then, this iconic design has been gradually merged with the most sophisticated watchmaking technology for more than a century, creating the legendary era of the Vacheron Constantin Malte Maltese series.
2012 marks the centenary of the design of the barrel-shaped case, and Vacheron Constantin also took the opportunity to reshape the Malte series and launch a new series of pure refinement. All design and craftsmanship are designed to highlight this theme: the unique look still has its unshakable status in the watchmaking industry-unique, original, elegant-and it continues to inherit its historical Vacheron Constantin mission.
Vacheron Constantin pays tribute to centuries-old barrel-type timepieces through the launch of the Malte Maltese collection, and pays tribute to its basic values based on classicism, elegance and extraordinary technology.
